"A balance of ceremony and celebration!"
It's my humble opinion that a Wedding Ceremony need not be boring. In fact, it can be both "Formal and Fun" at the same time. For that unique balance to occur depends on firstly, the Bride and Groom and secondly, the Officiate/Minister.
I like a simple approach. The following represents about a 20 minute user-friendly, non-religious order of service that can be easily tailored to a more formal or casual style, depending on your personal preferences and the location. e.g. outdoor/indoor, church, beach, garden, community hall, home or theme wedding etc.
As a "Marriage Chaplain" I am able and willing to incorporate certain components to help honor your belief system, ethnic values, faith history and family background. I perform many interfaith ceremonies each year. Religious content is not a requirement and is added only at the request of the Bride and Groom. It's up to you. It's your day!

Although I am a relatively new Officiant, I am not a stranger to taking part of events and ceremonies of all types as I have been an acting/theatre arts teacher for over 30 years, as well as a designer, director, choreographer, and performer both in the school system and in semi- pro theatre in the area. Because of being able to visual events, I am able to to offer suggestions where the couple has questions. I bring a good sense of humor as well as "production" to the wedding ceremony; I am an approach, friendly, cooperative, and creative. I am able to problem solve quickly as the unexpected happens. One of the things I bring to a ceremony is the ability to personalize the ceremony: I am able to write vows that weave together the bride and groom's talents, hobbies, professions, pets, ambitions, etc.
I am not someone who arrives, has the couple repeat vows, and takes off. Through several meetings, conversations, e-mails, I will make sure your desires are evident in the vows and ceremony. My favorite line is ,"What do you want? It is your day!" After your wishes are known and a ceremony format is decided upon, it is my job to help you relax and guide you through the ceremony. I can provide church/sacred elements to a ceremony, as well as more casual. Again, that is your choice as it is your day.
